We are a family-owned tech start-up that is trying to fight against AI slop, overly filtered photos, and misinformation.

gunimuni's founders often travel, and they take photos of each moment-- from smiling faces, sunsets, exotic food on the table, or sometimes even the most random things that the founders find amusing. To keep track of their travels, these photos were once uploaded to Facebook albums. With the age of misinformation, bots, and the dead internet theory, gunimuni’s founders chose to keep their photos in the cloud instead.

The founders always planned to create photobooks, but working on the layout, uploading the photos, but with the thousands of photos per trip, organizing the albums was just too difficult. Their should be a better way to make sure these memories don't end up as a file inside a folder, in a folder, in another folder, on the cloud. 

Thus, we dreamed of a way we could immortalize these moments. Not for likes, not for reacts, and not for clout. But for personal enjoyment, for when maybe ten or twenty years down the road, memories can be revisited and shared with loved ones. 

gunimuni is short for "Gunita" and "Munimuni" and the founders want to make sure we all take the time to remember and ponder on life and how one is living it.

1. Life is short --- The grand moments and milestones are few and far between, while daily doses of beauty, love, and happiness may go unnoticed. GuniMuni wants to help you be mindful of those moments. Our notifications will remind you that there might be moments you want to keep today, to look back to in the future. 

​2. Life is beautiful--- There is beauty in imperfection, in the blur of the single take, in the misframing of an excited moment. Memories are raw and should not be manufactured to advertise and sell products. Breathe in, take the photo, and enjoy the present.  

The founders are based in Los Banos, Laguna. Where the birds fly high, the green grass grows, and the great mountains sing.
